I told a friend the other day that he needed to become fat and like most people, he found it very offensive. I later told him that FAT stands for being Faithful, Attentive and Trusting in God.
When we are faithful, we can move mountains and when we move mountains the blessings will flow like a beautiful stream. “Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God (Romans 10:17).” Hear God then move. Being faithful can be a challenge especially when God puts us on hold but understand and know that God works on His time and His time is always the right time. God’s delays are not denials. Ask God to increase your understanding, to give you patience and to learn how to pray in power.
Be attentive. God sends us signs all the time but we must open our eyes to see that He is leading us to our blessing. He may speak to us directly or He may place people in our lives where He speaks through them. Other times God may give us the mind to pick out the evil that lurks around us. “Thank you God for opening the eyes of the blind and raising up those who are bowed down (Psalm 146:7-8).”
Trusting in God will always work in your favor. “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving (Colossians 2:6-7).” Ask God to rule you in all areas of your life and He will lead you to the things that he has prepared for you. Trusting in man is way different from trusting in God. Man will let you down but God will never fail us.
Make a pledge today to become FAT and watch God move in your life. Also, encourage others to become FAT.
