CENTRAL SOUTH DISTRIBUTION CONTINUES
TO BECOME POWER PLAYER IN GOSPEL

Nashville, TN: Central South Distribution recent held a daylong 
gospel celebration with an awards show, an artist showcase and 
workshop/seminars. “The Central South Showcase was an awesome 
experience that blessed everyone who attended,” says Terry Woods, 
Central South’s Director of Distribution. “We are greatly encouraged 
by the outstanding artists that poured out of their hearts what God 
has given them. It was amazing to witness the Spirit of God in the 
many genres that were represented.” 
 
All events were held at the Gibson Showcase venue and kicked off with 
a series of educational seminars and workshops coordinated by radio 
announcer Dennis Cole and Woods. Then, Central South honored gospel radio announcers during their first annual Gospel Announcer Spotlight Awards (also known as the Reach Awards with the slogan “Radio Everywhere Announcing Christ is Here.” Tracy Bethea-Boddie of 
Memphis, Tennessee’s Hallelujah 95.7 won the Trailblazer Award for 
her 21-year career as a radio announcer. J.C. Love of 94.9 Hallelujah 
FM in Little Rock, Arkansas won the Listener’s Choice Award where the 
general public voted him their favorite radio announcer. Ace Alexander, music director and afternoon host of the “Praise Party” at the Sheridan Gospel Network, won the Community Concerns Award. 
Baltimore, Maryland’s midday diva at WCAO Heaven 600 AM, Doresa 
Harvey, won the Community Concerns Award for her extensive community volunteerism with a number of organizations. including the Boys & Girls Clubs. 
 
Featured during Central South’s artist showcases were some of 
gospel’s most popular names such as Vickie Winans, Martha Munizzi, Marvin Winans Jr., Micah Stampley, Jerard Woods, Benita Washington, 
David & Tamela Mann, Bryan Wilson, William Murphy, Myron Williams, 
Norman Hutchens, Jason Nelson, Bishop John Francis, and Dave & Nicole Binion. The evening closed with a dynamic performance featuring 
Antwaun Stanley, Mr. Del and Canton Jones, who brought the house down with an amazing no-holds-barred concert. 
 
The impressive array of Top 10 artists who have left major labels to 
start their own labels with Central South Distribution demonstrates 
how the gospel music industry is evolving. “I really believe the 
landscape of Gospel Music is changing,” says Woods. “Many artists are experiencing a new freedom of creativity and passion for Christ. 
These artists are realizing that it is vital to become less `artist’ 
and `image’ driven and get back to the true message of Christ which
