Amid all of her incredible success, since her decision to sing professionally six years ago, gospel sensation – CeCe Godbolt continues to reach out to the masses. Her gift for ministering to others through song has caused her to remain as a favorite artist to call on for various performances throughout Dallas/Ft.Worth. To her, singing is a passion and her way of utilizing what God has blessed her with.
“God has instilled in me to touch others through song,” said CeCe. “It is very rewarding to know that I have reached one person or that I have people coming up to me saying that they have been blessed. God blesses me so I cannot help but to be a blessing to others.”
For the Camden, Arkansas native, her ministry has not been an easy task.
“During a time that things started getting rough I asked God to enlarge my territory and my husband and I just stepped out on faith,” said CeCe. “God opened doors for us and He has stirred us in the right direction. God will work it out for you if you just ask.”
God has worked it out for the couple. The two beam with pride over their record label, Creole Records. And when it comes to marketing, CeCe’s husband, Dalton Domingue Jr. works very hard to make sure that her message is delivered everywhere she goes. CeCe says he is her “motivator.”
“It is difficult in this business when it comes to marketing distribution and trying to get signed to a major distribution company and that is why it pays to be patient,” proclaimed CeCe.
Patience has helped propelled the musical powerhouse to perform in plays, participate in live recordings and open-up for some of the countries popular gospel talent. She has opened-up for Walter Hawkins, Doug & Melvin Williams of the Williams Brothers, Patti Labelle and many more. She has been a guest soloist for the Irving Mass live recording, participant for the Darryl Yancy & Shekinah video recording and a part of Tommye Young West live recording. CeCe has appeared on the Bobby Jones New Artist Showcase and has been a two-time winner for Showtime at the Apollo. Her many appearances can go on and on. CeCe is not an amateur when it comes to performing.
“I enjoy singing for God and I am happy when I know God is pleased,” said CeCe. “I know my father is looking down from heaven and smiling,”
CeCe is also proud to say that her mother has been one of her biggest influences as well as her pastor.
“My mom has instilled in me to reach the stars and to let the sky be the limit,” confessed CeCe. “She is so wonderful. My pastor, Dr. McNeil and his wife are also wonderful people because they have really encouraged me. I am thankful for having my pastor as my Shepard and I am happy to be his sheep.”
Currently, CeCe is enjoying the success of her first solo project, “I Will Praise You”, which can be purchased from www.cecegodbolt.com. And she is following the advice given to her by her mother.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” concluded CeCe.
