NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT
By Tiffany Jackson

The month of May is always an emotional month ever since 2005. In 2005 I experienced a sexual assault case and I tend to always think about how I could have died during that time but I am so glad that I have a Father who sits high and looks low. He protects His children. And when I say it is an emotional month for me, I am not talking about me sitting and crying my eyes out, no I am talking about deep praise. Although, I thank God for delivering me out of the situation daily, I am even more thankful during the month of May.

God said He was not through with me yet. He has bigger plans for my life that I still cannot see. I never would have made it without Him and like the top selling song from Marvin Sapp, ‘I can say that I am stronger, I am wiser, I am better so much better.’

Our Father sometimes allows things to happen to us because He wants to test our faith and what does not kill us makes us stronger. My praise is way more intense. My laughter is way more real to me now then ever. When I look back at my life I can raise my hands in praise and thank God for blessing me to see one more day that was not promised to me. I can say that I love the Lord and I will serve Him until I die.

Many of us today are here only because of God’s grace. It is not because we are so good; it is because God is so merciful. I liked what gospel singer KiKi Sheard said during her concert on Friday. She said that many of us have jobs that we should not have because we don’t have a degree but God made a way. This is so true. A lot of things we have and who we are are only because God chose us to have those things or to become that person. Man has no real control.

Think about your journey and where you are at this point in your life, then look back and say thank you God for delivering me out of the wilderness, out of my darkness into the marvelous light. We have to acknowledge where God has brought us through. It is so important to know that God has all the power. He can take a prostitute and turn her into a preacher, he can take a drug dealer and make him a loyal deacon, and he can take an alcoholic and turn them into the best usher within the church. We never would have made it without God. Never get beside your self and start thing you had any thing to do with your greatness. It is all God.

May God Bless And Keep You,
