MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR MESS

As I teach teenagers on Sundays at my church, I hear them say that they cannot change many of their situations. After hearing this I thought a moment and told them that they are right but that they have to make the best of their situation. We are living in the days of disastrous situations. Gay marriages have been accepted, ministers are getting a way with molesting children, husbands murdering their wives, thieves do not wait until night to steal instead they are robbing people in broad daylight, mothers throwing away their babies and the list goes on. All we can do is pray and try to live in the way Christ wants us to live.

The devil is busy. He is not only capturing adults but he has weaved his way into the minds of many young children. These children come in contact with situations that older people cannot begin to phantom. Some of the children are living in abusive homes and experiencing both physical and verbal abuses. Some of their parents are alcoholics or on drugs. Many live with aunts, uncles, cousins or grandparents and others have to raise themselves. Then they are expected to stay in school and to make good grades while they are enduring hardships within their home, most of which is out of their control.

What does that say about today’s society? It says that we are living in our last days. Chapters in Matthew, Mark and Luke inside of the Bible talk about events that will occur as a sign of Jesus coming and how to prepare for it. The best preparation is to get your house in order. We can only introduce people to God but we cannot save them. They must save themselves. They must confess with their mouth and believe in their heart in order to become Christians. Although sin is on every corner, we must fight to keep ourselves cleansed in the Word of God and he will direct our path. We must make the best of our mess.

May God Bless And Keep You,
