NERO D. FOSTER

Nero D. Foster has been a musician for 36 years and is a native of Houston, Texas, now residing in the city of Fort Worth. He is an accomplished vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer, and director. His latest work “The Heart of The Minstrel” will be released August 2, 2008 featuring his singers Communion.

Nero’s list of accomplishments include: “Most Inspirational Instrumentalist”, and “Best New Artist of the Year” at the 1993 Central Texas Music Awards; named “Most Inspirational Artist” “Most Outstanding Musician,” and “Most Outstanding Artist” by Houston-based Pearl Records, In 2000 and 2001 Nero toured Berlin, Germany;
Vienna, Austria; Frankfurt, Germany and Munich, Germany as music director and bass guitarist for the internationally known Voices of Gospel led by Dwight Robson. In November of 2003 Nero took on the awesome
task of writing and producing the Inspiring Temple of Praise Singers Live CD and DVD recording, ‘Be Inspired.”

In January of 2004, Nero’s song, He Replaced Me, was recognized by the Dallas Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America at their annual composer workshop He is also presently producer and chief engineer of his personal recording studio in Fort Worth known as CRM Studios.

Nero has shared the stage with artists such as: Rev. John P. Kee and New Life Community Choir, Commissioned, Kurt Carr, the Winans, Douglas Miller, Donald Lawrence, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Earnest Pugh and Keith Leak.

Foster is now accompanied on his musical journey by the elegant and fresh voices of Communion. The powerful musical entity Communion, or common union, is comprised of individuals from Dallas/Fort Worth who share a vision and heart for worship. Accomplished artists in their own right, they have created a uniquely anointed sound that is sure to inspire.

So who inspires Foster to keep creating music? Michael Jackson, of course.

“I am his biggest fan! Through personal heartache and pain he stands on the stage and triumphs in spite of what is said,” said Nero. He added, “I’ve been writing and performing music for a long time. I love and respect the music. That’s my inspiration!”
