See 2008 Perspectives by Caesar
Perhaps the greatest pleasure I receive from being a publisher, and a writer, is that I have the opportunity to pose questions to readers of Perspective.
A few weeks ago, I sorted clothes to prepare for my bi-weekly trip to the dry cleaners. I searched the pockets of pants that were left hanging on my closet door for several days. Surely, you too, have left pants hanging on your closet door? I pulled my right hand from the right front pocket of a pair of brown slacks and a fifty dollar bill was in tow. I thanked God for the blessing. I knew then I had my next column.
I then asked myself, “How much money did I have to forget that I had a fifty dollar bill?” The questions that follow are not intentioned to be extremely insightful, consider them to be, just thoughts and gentle musings from this writer:
How often have you asked God for something and waited patiently until it came to pass?
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Ps. 27:14
“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.” Ps. 40:1
How blessed do you ‘Really’ know that you are?
“Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.”
Ps 41:1
“Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.” Ps 106:3
Do you believe in your ‘desire’ to make a difference; positive change in your family, your church and in your life?
“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Ps 37:4
“Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles” Ps 103: 5
Is there power in your words?
‘A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.’ Pr 25:11
‘The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.’ Pr 26:22
Can you forgive yourself for what you ‘knowingly’ said and did; even though you know- you should not have said it and did it?”
‘Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.’ Php 3:13
“Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” Ps 32:1
