Destiny Who Holds Yours?

by Tanisha Griffin

In order to, develop and grow spiritually and as a person. Each one of us has to ask this question at some point in our lives. We all have destinies to fulfill. The question is; who hold yours?
Have you allowed someone else to dictate where your life will lead you?  That person could be a parent, a sibling, a wife or a husband; only you know the answer.

My next question, why?  Is fear holding you back?  Have you been so dependant on this person that you are not quite sure how to make it without them?  Well let me tell you this secret. If they are meant to be with you-at the end of your journey, they will still be there.  Run into you your destiny and don’t be afraid of who you will loose along the way.  They were in your life for a certain situation or season. They were never meant to go that far with you anyway.

I always make a conscience effort to ensure my grip is not too tight on something or someone that I should have released a long time ago; because, I am more afraid of missing my destiny.
Be open to the possibilities.  At every stage or new level we achieve in life, some will come along, others will fall away and new ones will enter.

An old man once told me that I don’t allow new things to come in my life, because I am too afraid to open my hand and let the old things go. I was just a child when he said that, but that has stuck with me to this very day.  I believe we are all guilty of this. But now that you are aware, how will you control the future?

Will you allow someone to tell you, “You can’t have your own business,” “You can’t buy that house,” “You can’t do it like that because it’s never been done before.” They may not have enough faith, but you do.  If God gave it to you, then he wants you to achieve it.  People are watching.  Step out on faith by letting them know that it’s okay to be afraid, but “I’m going to achieve my destiny anyway.”

My motto is, make a believer out of them.  You just may be the person to spark a change in someone else’s life.  We all need motivators. Let fear be yours-when you are most afraid, that’s when you know you are on the right track. Keep going. You’re almost at the finish line. Now, who controls your destiny?

That's how I see it. How do you see it? Email your comments to tanisha@dallasgospelconnection.com
