HEALTHY ON PURPOSE

Doing the Most

You wake up each day on purpose, you eat on purpose, you go to work on purpose, and you sleep on purpose. Most of your daily lifestyle and choices are on purpose; if you want to be healthier or want a better body you must also do it “on purpose”.

I appreciate the many compliments I receive from people about looking fit; however, it is not just from my genes alone as some may suggest, but because I do it on purpose. Being healthy on purpose is similar to setting goals or running a successful business. What I am telling you is what others tell me about running a business. If I am to have what I desire, I must do it without excuses and work on it daily. I say to the business person, whose purpose is to be successful, your health is a key tool for your business. Even if you miss a day of exercise, it should always be on your mind and agenda for the next.

Perhaps you are on course with eating healthy, exercising and even at the size your want, but muscle tone and a slimmer waist is what you desire. Try taking your health program to the next level, which is what I did. My regular routine at the gym was not awarding me the results I wanted sooner; therefore I started taking a variety of classes which included kickboxing, weight lifting and an abs class. When I starting out I had some difficult keeping up and my muscles felt on fire, but they helped me realize I was not doing the most.

By taking your workout to the next level is where you gain better results. Don’t expect to lose weight right away, you may remain the same weight but in stead lose inches, which is what I am experiencing.

Write yourself notes about your purpose and post them on your bathroom mirror, on your refrigerator, your car and at work. Next read and affirm your goals and know that it is God’s will and purpose for you to be in good health.
